Time Stands Still
C Kathrine Danielle Nelson

In the essence of truth
deep in the blood of young
a moment of deceit
a moment that grows ;
into an hour or two
until the sands of time is none left ;
spare only a few.
The pounding of hearts and clocks align
suffocating the innocent with each blow
spilling a pool of blood
bedaubing all those who care
and staining the palms of the obdurate and cruel.

Clearly

Described perfectly by the wind in the trees is all I shall ever claim to be.
Empty and lonely, careful if only for the moments I close my eyes.
Freedom is mine yet our fates intertwine like the words I eagerly write.
Though my smile is broken my eyes are left hoping the time of my life becomes clear.

Trapped Inside Her Shadow

Trapped inside her shadow, I live within her skin.
Yet somehow when they touch her, there touch resists my skin.
Trapped inside her shadow, I often wonder why. The love they cast upon her slowly makes me die.
Trapped inside her shadow, I hide behind her face. Every time they smile, I slide into my case.
Trapped inside her shadow, I slowly fade away.
She shines so brightly and continues with her day.

Lips Disguise

Lips when kissed beneath the sun so bright
innocence and purity soon ignite.
The lips devoured under the moons cruel eyes
are those of which who deny.
A difference fair is the stars above
coalesce of moon and sun.
The stars give thee a subtle glow
in which creates the perfect shadow.
